I joined L3Harris in March of 2021. I work in their Space and Airborne Systems Division as a Mechanical Engineering Design Specialist. I create 3D CAD models of components and modules for testing military and aerospace products such as the Tomahawk cruise missile and THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense). I primarily use SolidWorks and AutoCAD for capturing designs and creating fabrication/assembly drawings.
I also perform printed circuit design for the same products, using Mentor PADS and DX Designer in accordance with IPC 2221 and IPC 2222 Class 3. These are very dense boards up to 16 layers, with blind and buried vias, differential pairs, and controlled impedance.
